Disciples, I will teach you the five aggregates and the five clinging aggregates.

Listen to this.

And what are the five aggregates?

Whatever form past, future, or present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, whether far or near, this is called the form aggregate.

Whatever feeling...

whatever perception...

whatever formations, past, future, or present, internal or external, gross or subtle...

this is called the formations aggregate.

Whatever consciousness, past, future, or present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, whether far or near, this is called the consciousness aggregate.

These are called the five aggregates.

And what are the five clinging aggregates?

Whatever form, past, future, or present...

whether far or near, with taints, subject to clinging, this is called the form clinging aggregate.

Whatever feeling...

whether far or near, with taints, subject to clinging, this is called the feeling clinging aggregate.

Whatever perception...

whether far or near, with taints, subject to clinging, this is called the perception clinging aggregate.

Whatever formations...

with taints, subject to clinging, this is called the formations clinging aggregate.

Whatever consciousness, past, future, or present...

whether far or near, with taints, subject to clinging, this is called the consciousness clinging aggregate.
