I will teach you the Dhamma for the abandonment of all.

Taṁ suṇātha.

Listen to this.

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sabbappahānāya dhammo?

And what is the Dhamma for the abandonment of all?

The eye should be abandoned; forms should be abandoned; eye-consciousness should be abandoned; eye-contact should be abandoned; whatever feeling arises with eye-contact as condition: whether pleasant or painful or neither-painful-nor-pleasant: that too should be abandoned.

jivhā pahātabbā, rasā pahātabbā, jivhāviññāṇaṁ pahātabbaṁ, jivhāsamphasso pahātabbo, yampidaṁ jivhāsamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi pahātabbaṁ.

The tongue should be abandoned; tastes should be abandoned; tongue-consciousness should be abandoned; tongue-contact should be abandoned; whatever feeling arises with tongue-contact as condition: whether pleasant or painful or neither-painful-nor-pleasant: that too should be abandoned.

Kāyo pahātabbo …

The body should be abandoned...

mano pahātabbo, dhammā pahātabbā, manoviññāṇaṁ pahātabbaṁ, manosamphasso pahātabbo, yampidaṁ manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi pahātabbaṁ.

The mind should be abandoned; mental phenomena should be abandoned; mind-consciousness should be abandoned; mind-contact should be abandoned; whatever feeling arises with mind-contact as condition: whether pleasant or painful or neither-painful-nor-pleasant: that too should be abandoned.

Ayaṁ kho, bhikkhave, sabbappahānāya dhammo”ti. Dutiyaṁ.

This is the Dhamma for the abandonment of all.
